Peshawar(PR):”The recent disinformation campaign by some of the Federal Government’s Ministers about KPK Government, not providing land for WAPDA Grid Station, is an appalling pack of lies; aimed at misleading the general public and disparage the government of KPK”.
This was stated by Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, KPK Minister for Revenue and Estate in a press statement released by his office here today.
He said to cover their apathy and step motherly treatment with our province, especially in the power sector, they have resorted to such false and dishonest tactics.
Their statements clearly manifest their ignorance and seriousness about the whole matter. The least that they could have done was to read “Land Acquisition Act” and if they found it difficult to comprehend, then ask someone about the law and procedure of acquiring land for government’s use.
He said that according to the prevalent law, the first step in land acquisition is a notification under Section-4 of the Act, which provides legal cover for entering private property for selecting, survey, marking and measuring etc.
The assessment and calculation of the market rates is also linked to the date of this very notification.
The rest of the procedure follows and according to the NWFP amendment of 2001, has to be completed within six months.
“The point that is to be emphasized and understood her,” the statement added, is that the notification under Section-4 is issued by the District Collector, only after the required funds have been deposited by the acquiring department, in the concerned district collector’s account. No notification can be issued till the funds are not transferred to the district.”
Hence no lip-service or press statement by ill-informed and ignorant minister is of any consequence. These empty braggers and dishonest propagandists are advised that they should ensure the funds transfer to our concerned district and then start the countdown of our non-cooperation and departmental efficiency” Mr. Gandapur added.
