Allama Iqbal awaken feeling of Muslim nationhood in Sub-continent: Mahmood Khan

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has said that Allama Muhammad Iqbal was a great leader of the Muslims of the subcontinent, who awakened the feeling of Muslim nationhood among the Muslim of India through his poetry and librated the thoughts of the Muslim from Western propaganda. Mahmood Khan added that the thoughts of Allama Iqbal lit the lamp of hope among the Muslims of the subcontinent which indicated not only the destination but also the path, thanks to which the Muslims of the subcontinent succeeded in achieving a separate state for themselves in the form of Pakistan. In a message issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on the occasion of Iqbal’s birthday on November 9, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has said that Allama Iqbal was a great leader not only of the Muslims of the subcontinent but of the entire Muslim Ummah, who discouraged discrimination of color and race, unity among Muslims. The Chief Minister said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) government is trying to make Pakistan a great Islamic welfare state in accordance with the vision of Allama Iqbal and other founders of Pakistan, in which justice is supreme, law is equal for all, and merit prevails.
