The Anti Narcotics Force, in collaboration with Department of Law, arranged *“The Drug Abuse and Awareness Program “* at Gullo dheri Campus, Women University Swabi.
The session addressed a range of issues including the demand reduction, reduction of drug related crimes and violence, and the reduction of drug-related health and social costs.
The session was chaired by the Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr.Shahana Urooj Kazmi. Assistant Director ANF Ahmed bin Tariq discussed various forms of narcotics substances and informed the audience about the far reaching implications of its use.
He emphasised that the goal of the Drug Abuse and Awareness programme is to educate and enable Pakistan youth, especially the students at the educational institutes, to get rid of the illicit drugs. The worthy Vice Chancellor of the University has also highlighted the significance of eliminating this menace and discussed the root causes of the illicit use of drugs.
The session was concluded by Ms. Fatima Murad, Lecturer Department of Law, with a vote of thanks to Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr.Shahana Urooj Kazmi, Assistant Director, ANF Ahmas Bin Tariq and his entire team.
