Islamabad(Online): In almost 16 operations countrywide, ANF seized 218 Kg narcotics worth Rs 153.93 M in International Market.
These operations were conducted at Quetta, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Peshawar, Sialkot, Lahore and Faisalabad. The seized drug comprised 1.6 Kg Heroin, 205.277 Kg Hashish, 6.4 Kg Opium, 3.059 Kg Amphetamine and 1.3 Kg ICE. During the operations, 16 drug peddlers have been arrested and 2 vehicles impounded.
ANF Quetta in an information based operation intercepted a Car No. V-6928 at Hazaar Ganji area of Quetta and recovered 200 Kg Hashish concealed in the vehicle. Driver of the vehicle namely Haq Nawaz resident of Killi Kamalo have also been arrested at the spot.
ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused at Benazir International Airport, Islamabad on suspicious of ingested Heroin filed capsules. The accused intended to fly for Italy (Rome) by Etihad Airlines Flight No. EY-232. Later, Heroin filled capsules weighing 300 Gram were delivered by accused.
In 2nd operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 4 Kg Opium from personal possession of a local drug peddler travelling on a Motorcycle (without number plate) near Total Petrol Pump, Attock. In 3rd operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused at Benazir International Airport Islamabad and recovered 2 Kg Amphetamine concealed in his trolley bag. The accused person intended to fly for Italy via Saudi Arabia by PIA Flight No. PK-270. In 4th operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused at Benazir International Airport Islamabad on suspicious of ingested Heroin filled capsules.
The accused was travelling to Saudi Arabia via Masqat (Oman) by Oman Air Flight No. WY-346. 100X Heroin filed capsules have been delivered by the accused so far. In 5th Operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested a passenger at Benazir International Airport Islamabad and recovered 49 Heroin filled capsule concealed in shoes of the accused.
He intended to fly for Rome via Doha by Qatar Airways Flight No. QR-615. In 6th operation ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Shahzad Ahmed resident of Sargodha at Benazir International Airport Rawalpindi and recovered 1.3 Kg ICE from his personal possession. The accused intended to fly for Jeddha by Etihad Airlines Flight No. EY-234.
ANF Lahore arrested an accused namely Pervaiz Ahmed resident of Mandi Baha-Ud-Din at Faisalabad International Airport and recovered 1.059 Kg Amphetamine concealed in his trolley bag.
The accused intended to fly for Sharjah by Qatar Airways Flight No. QR-623. In 2nd operation ANF Lahore arrested Wahid Ali resident of Sawabi near Main Motorway Toll Plaza, Faisalabad and recovered 1.1 Kg Hashish from his personal possession.
In 3rd operation ANF Lahore arrested Muhammad Asif Saeed resident of Qasur at Shera Kot Bus Stop, Band Road, Lahore and recovered 500 Gram Hashish from his personal possession. In 4th operation ANF Lahore arrested Amir Nazir resident Sialkot at Sialkot International Airport and recovered 280 Ecstasy Tablets (Rivotril weighing 43 gram) concealed in his Note Book.
The accused intended to fly for Riyadh via Sharjah by Air Arabia Flight No. G-9552. In 5th operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused namely Imtiaz Ahmed resident of Faisalabad from Nigihban Pura Area of Faisalabad and recovered 500 Gram Heroin from his personal possession. Another chemical weighing 13 Kg have also been recovered from the accused which is sent to laboratory for chemical identification.
In 6th operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla car No. LXF-9458 from main Motorway Toll Plaza, Faisalabad and arrested an accused namely Farooq resident of Charsadda.
The operation resulted in recovery of 1.2 Kg Hashish and 2.4 Kg Opium from vehicle and personal possession of the accused.
ANF Peshawar recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish from personal possession of an accused Muhammad Zafar resident of Faisalabad near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar while he was travelling in Toyota Hiace (passenger vehicle). In 2nd operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 800 gram Heroin from personal possession of an accused namely Zartaj resident of Sawabi near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar. In 3rd operation, ANF Peshawar arrested accused namely Ghulam Fareed resident of Karak at Peshawar International Airport, travelling to Oman via Dubai by Emirates Air Flight No. EK-772 and recovered 77 Grams Hashish, concealed in strip of his Laptop.
