Awami National Party (ANP) provincial spokesperson MPA Samar Haroon Bilour alleged National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser for failing to remain impartial during the joint parliamentary session a day ago and demanded his resignation from his post.
MPA Samar Haroon Bilour condemned the attitude of NA Speaker and said that he acted like a supporter of the incumbent government in the national assembly over controversial legislations.
Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club along with members of the Information Committee Rehmat Ali Khan and Tariq Afghan, provincial spokesman Samar Haroon Bilour demanded the resignation of the NA speaker.
The media, the people across the country witnessed the controversial role of Speaker Asad Qaiser in the meeting, she added.
Samar Haroon said that ANP demands immediate resignation of the Speaker of the National Assembly over his controversial role.
According to the constitution, 222 votes are required for legislation in the parliament but the ruling party passed the law with 221 votes including advisors.
The ruling party not only violated the constitution and the law but also disrespected the elected members, adding that the electronic voting machine was in fact an “engineered voting mechanism” and a new scheme to steal people’s votes.
