ANP demands opening of Pak-Afghan border for trade

The Awami National Party (ANP) submitted a resolution in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly against the closure of Pak-Afghan trade routes.
The resolution, submitted by provincial general secretary and parliamentary leader Sardar Hussain Babak, said that friendly, fraternal and trusting relations between the two Muslim countries were a long-standing need of the people.
He said that the economies of the both countries have been suffering due to closure of business points on Pak-Afghan border.
Sardar Hussain Babak said that the closure of these roads has caused problems for both the countries and it has also triggered unemployment, he added that thousands of families are stranded on the border.
The resolution further said that trade and transportation would provide employment and business opportunities to millions of youth and would eradicate terrorism.
Waiting for the arrival, travel documents should be facilitated and people of both countries should be facilitated.
