ANP fields Aimal Wali Khan, Gulam Bilour for NA by-polls


PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) on Friday awarded its ticket for NA-31 Peshawar-V to veteran politician Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour and fielded Aimal Wali Khan for NA-24 Chrassada-II for the by-elections of National Assembly scheduled to be held on September 25. According to a statement issued from the Bacha Khan Markaz, the tickets were issued by the provincial parliamentary board of the party after a meeting chaired by ANP provincial president Aimal Wali Khan. The meeting which unanimously approved the names of two aforementioned leaders was attended by Sardar Hussain Babak, Samar Haroon Bilour, Khadim Hussain and Shahi Khan Sherani. It is pertinent to mention here that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced that by-elections on nine seats of the National Assembly that fell vacant after the resignation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNAs will be held on September 25. In KP the seats on which the by-polls will be held included NA-22 Mardan, NA-24 Charsadda, NA-31 Peshawar and NA-45 Kurram. DLP Report
