Peshawar: On the direction of the provincial government, an operation is being carried out by the Health Department and District Administration in North Waziristan District to prevent Dengue. In addition to house-to-house inspections in the district, water reservoirs are also being checked regularly at outdoor places while community gatherings are also being organized to create awareness among the people about Dengue. Giving the details, District Health Officer Dr. Gulistan said that 208 houses, 1737 water storage containers and tanks and 191 outdoor sites were inspected during the two-week anti-dengue drive in North Waziristan District. Similarly, in 34 community sessions, 359 participants were informed about dengue and its prevention and information brochures and pamphlets were distributed among them. Online
