KHYBER: The local administration with assistance of Tehsil Municipal Authority (TMA) launched a massive operation against encroachment here in various sections of Landi Kotal Bazaar on Wednesday. Prior to it, a three days deadline was granted to shopkeepers and local traders to remove all encroachment that was followed by the joint anti-encroachment. Five vehicles loaded with fruits were charged Rs, 2500 per vehicle for selling the commodities at roadside while three others shopkeepers were put behind the bars for encroachment. Assistant Commissioner,Landi Kotal Akbar Iftekhar said that encroachment will be removed from all sections of the Bazaar with support of the local traders union to facilitate the pedestrians.
