These apps, which were initially in preview last year, have now shed the preview tag after collaboration between Apple and Microsoft. The goal is to encourage Windows users to move away from iTunes reliance. With these apps, iTunes is only necessary for accessing podcasts and audiobooks on Windows. The Apple Music app provides access to the iTunes library and allows for song and album purchases, while Apple TV enables users to watch movies and TV shows from their iTunes library and stream subscription content.
