KHYBER: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has finalized all arrangements for holding of re-voting in 34 polling stations in Landi Kotal on Feb 13, free, fair and peaceful manner. It is to be mentioned here that the court ordered for re-voting in Local Bodies election on 30 polling stations in Bazaar Zakha Khel and 04 female polling stations (Urban Council) in Khuga Khel, sub-division Landi Kotal, district Khyber. Returning officer for Bazaar Zakha Khel Additional Assistant Commissioner Ahsrafuddin said that all arrangements have been set final to conduct the election. Twenty contesters will compete for Landi Kotal mayor ship (tehsil chairman) while for 42 slots, a total 131 candidates comprising 79 general councils,30 peasants/workers and 22 youth of six village councils will contest. Thirty polling stations (male and female) have been established to facilitate the voters to cast their votes at the nearest station besides the required election crew has been specialized who will discharge its duty during the election, he added. It is important to state that Bazaar Zakha Khel has more than forty thousand registered votes. Our Correspondent
