ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has remarked arrest can be made without search warrants in narcotics case. The court further remarked no accused can be acquitted due to arrest without search warrants. Neither the trial can be stopped nor the punishment can be abolished on the plea of arrest without search warrants. SC has expressed these remarks while interpreting clause 27 of Narcotics KP Act 2019 in bail after arrest plea in a narcotics case. The decision was issued by SC on appeal plea filed by one Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah against Peshawar High Court (PHC) decision in connection with his bail after arrest in a narcotics case.
