Arrests makes over worsen situation of law and order: Murad

Karachi(Online): Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has said on Monday that some arrests were made over the deteriorating situation of law and order in the city. Police have solved about 9 high profile cases including Amjad Sabri assassination case.
While presiding over a meeting held in connection with to review the law and order situation in the city at Central Police Office and media talk, the CM said that two accused apprehended in the area of Liaquatabad were identified as Ishaq alias Bobi and Asim alias Capri and recovered a huge cache of weapons from their possession. Both the accused were allegedly involve in 9 major crime incidents including 28 common incidents
The CM further said that both the accused were allegedly involve in the incident of firing on women religious congregation of Shia community (Majlis-e-Aza) held in Nazimabad on Oct 30, 2016 adding that evidences were also found in the alleged involvement of this gang in the assassination of two army personnel in Parking place in the area of Saddar.
“These two accused were also allegedly involve in the assassination of renowned singer and Qawwal Amjad Sabri on May 21, 2016 and murder of two traffic constables on Aysha Manzil. The accused do not belongs to any political party but have close contact with Naeem Bokhari group of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ)”, the CM disclosed.
He further disclosed that these two accused are allegedly involve in the assassination of 7 police personnel deputed on the security of polio volunteers in Orangi Town in April, 2016, the killing of two traffic police personnel at Tabit center on December 2015, killing of four rangers personnel on November 20, 2015, murder of senior advocate Supreme Court Amir Haider on August 29, 2015.
“The police have recovered huge cache of weapons including 3 SMGs, 27 pistol, MP5 snatched from police party”, the CM added.
The CM has categorically stated that operation is not being conducted against specific community but for terrorists only without any discrimination adding that action is being taken against miscreants. Every possible measure would be taken to eliminate the terrorists.
“Only suspected people are being taken into custody and the people who were declared clear by the Law Enforcement Agencies” were immediately released”, the CM explained.
He appealed to the people to cooperate with the government and said provincial government also enjoys the cooperation of federal government against terrorists.
The CM said that weapons without license were also recovered from Faisal Raza Abdi adding that cases had been registered against Shia cleric Allama Mirza Yousaf and the courts had granted him bail in these cases.
