KOHAT
An important meeting was held in Kohat under the chairmanship of Special Secretary for Local Government and Acting Project Director Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project (KPCIP), Arshad Afridi, to review the progress of ongoing development projects in the city.
The meeting was attended by WSSC Kohat Chairman Board of Directors and Acting Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Saad, Chief Engineer Mian Mohsin Gul, Head of Administration and Sanitation Tahir Afif, CIU Resident Engineers, Infrastructure Engineers, and representatives of contractors.
During the meeting, the Special Secretary was given a detailed briefing on various projects underway under KPCIP in Kohat. Officials apprised him of the current status, challenges, unresolved issues, and expected timelines. Emphasizing transparency and timely completion, Arshad Afridi directed all institutions that no negligence will be tolerated in projects related to public welfare.
Following the meeting, the Special Secretary visited key development projects, including the sewage treatment plant at KDA, the Women Business Development Center on Jail Road, and the Green Spaces project at Kohat Sports Complex. He reviewed the quality and pace of ongoing work, received on-site briefings, and stressed that all projects must be completed within stipulated timelines to deliver maximum benefits to the people at the earliest.
