Kandhkot: As the colder days of winter loom in, the significant rise in the demand of warm soups is experienced. Soup is primary liquid food generally served warm or hot, that is prepared by combining ingredients of meat, vegetable and water. Vendors have set up their temporary shops and stalls at various main roads, stops and especially roundabout of the city. Huge rush of customers especially youngsters can be witnessed at the warm soup outlets in the evening and late night. Lala Nabi dad and Rahmat Khan stall owners at Ghantaghar told that in the months of November, December and January the demand of soups always increases because these are the severe cold months of the area. They told this is a cheaper and also profitable business as we are doing this business from ancestors. People from all ages love to have soups they said there are dozans of flavours of soups such as corn soups, sour soups, egg soups, vegetarian soups, chicken and noodle soups.
