ASME EFx-2026 concludes at UET Peshawar

The two-day ASME EFx-2026, organized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) UET Peshawar Chapter, concluded at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar the other day.
The event brought together talented students and professionals from 16 leading universities across Pakistan and featured Robotics and Water Rocket competitions, seminars, panel discussions and networking activities aimed at promoting innovation and professional excellence among engineering students.
The Vice Chancellor UET Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Sadiq Khattak, who graced the opening ceremony as Chief Guest, highlighted the importance of such platforms in nurturing innovation, leadership, and technical competence among young engineers.
He stated that ASME EFx provides students with valuable opportunities to demonstrate their capabilities, enhance problem-solving skills, and build professional networks, adding that UET Peshawar remains committed to promoting innovation-driven learning and encouraging students to compete at national and international levels.
He also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Muhammad Alam Zaib Khan, Advisor ASME UET Peshawar Chapter, for successfully organizing the event.
The Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Hamid Ullah, appreciated the efforts of the organizing team, sponsors, and participants for making the event successful.
He noted that such initiatives strengthen industry–academia collaboration and contribute significantly to the advancement of engineering education in Pakistan.
At the concluding ceremony, winners of various competitions were announced and awarded shields in recognition of their outstanding performance. In the Student Design Competition, Robo Rangers 2.0 (UET Peshawar) secured first position, followed by H3MSR (UET Kala Shah Kaku). In the IAM3D Competition, Falcons (NUST H-12) won first place, while Robo Rangers 2.0 (UET Peshawar) secured second position. In the Oral Competition, Sumaiqa Alam (UET Peshawar) achieved first position and Syeda Afia Shah (UET Peshawar) secured second position. In the Elevator Pitch Competition, Syeda Afia Shah (UET Peshawar) won first place, followed by Sumaiqa Alam (UET Peshawar). In the Water Rocket Competition, Jetii (UET Kala Shah Kaku) secured first position, while Sky Drifters (UET Kala Shah Kaku) achieved second position. Similarly, In the Parliamentary Debates Competition, the Debatecians (PMAS Arid Agriculture University) won first place and Team Informants (PMAS Arid Agriculture University) secured second position.
The event was sponsored by the Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Educate Global, Pizza Box Peshawar and Adam Khan Films. Organizers expressed gratitude to sponsors, participating universities, and volunteers for their support in making the event a success.
