LAHORE, July 10 : NAB Lahore has decided to arrest former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Usman Buzdar due to his non appearance in assets case despite being summoned.
According to sources Usman Buzdar has not appeared even 14th time.
The counsel for former CM Punjab requested that Usman Buzdar cannot appear today.
NAB rejected plea of counsel for Usman Buzdar and even refused to receive reply from the counsel.
NAB authorities have requested chairman NAB for issuance of arrest warrants of former CM Punjab due to his non appearance .
Under new ordinance Usman Buzdar can be arrested during inquiry.
According to NAB sources decision has been taken to apply new ordinance to Usman Buzdar.
The case of accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income, transfer postings and irregularities in contracts is running against Usman Buzdar.
The case of accumulation of over Rs 9 billion assets is under investigation against Usman Buzdar and his family.
NAB sources further said wheat export case against Usman Buzdar is being investigated too.
