ATC extends interim bail of Imran Khan till Sep 12

ISLAMABAD : Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has extended interim bail of PTI chairman Imran Khan till September 12 in the case for hurling threats on female magistrate and senior police officers.

The interim bail plea of Imran Khan in the case for threatening female magistrate and senior police officers came up for hearing before ATC Thursday.

PTI chairman Imran Khan along with his counsel Babar Awan appeared in the court.

Opening his arguments Babar Awan said Imran Khan has reached court room as per your orders.

The judge inquired from the police during the hearing of the case Imran Khan is affiliated to which terrorist organization or which kalashnikov has been recovered from him.

The counsel for Imran Khan told the court “ Judge Sahb, please ask from them as they slap new section daily so that we could see the case once.

The learned judge remarked they will go on imposing some section within every 10 days. If they have to impose section then they should do now.

Babar Awan said to prosecutor “ has some section been left to be imposed.

The court remarked all sections are bail able except terrorism.

The hearing of the case started at 9 a.m and Imran Khan was not present in the court room.

The judge remarked Imran Khan Presence in the court is must.

Babar Awan advocate said Imran Khan is facing a serious life threat. Islamabad police write daily due to which he did not come to court.

The court summoned Imran Khan at 12 O clock.

The court remarked after hearing the arguments we accept the bail plea regarding the sections imposed in the case registered against Imran Khan.

The judge inquired from police has Imran Khan threatened to murder and set ablaze some one.

Babar Awan said our associates were martyred but we did not leave the court. Nothing has been done so far over the martyrdom of our associates. On the other hand case was registered against former Prime Minister.

The court extended the bail of Imran Khan till September 12.

The court while granting interim bail against the surety bonds of Rs one lac regarding new sections remarked the final arguments should be given on September 12 and order will be issued on that day.
