ATC orders to arrest interior minister Rana Sana Ullah, present him before court on March 07

Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Gujranwala has issued orders to arrest interior minister Rana Sana Ullah and present him before court on March 07 in the case for threatening the institutions and hurling life threats on chief secretary.
The case against Rana Sana Ullah came up for hearing before Judge Rana Zahid Iqbal of ATC here Friday.
Gujarat Police had completed the investigation of the case and filed report for dismissal of case against Rana Sana Ullah in the court. The court rejected police report seeking dismissal of case against Rana Sana Ullah.
The court while issuing show cause notice to SP Investigation Gujarat, the concerned DSP and Investigation officer for working out the report in connection with dismissal of case against Rana Sana Ullah and directed them to appear before it in person.
The court issued bailable arrest warrants of Rana Sana Ullah. The court while summoning all police officers on next hearing adjourned the hearing of the case till March 07.
Terrorism case was registered against Rana Sana Ullah by Punjab government for threatening judiciary and government officers during his speeches on April 15, 2021 and January 29, 2022. According to copy of FIR the case was registered against Rana Sana Ullah under section 7 of anti terrorism, section 353 of criminal procedure and sections 186, 189 and 506.
The complainant had taken the plea that interior minister Rana Sana Ullah in his speeches on April 15, 2021 and January 29, 2022 had threatened judiciary for preventing them from discharging their obligation and hurling threats on Punjab Police officers for killing their children. Rana Sana Ullah statement which was broadcast from a private TV was also included in FIR.
The FIR said that the statement given by Rana Sana Ullah was aimed at creating harassment among the judiciary, chief secretary, commissioner and people of the country. Its aim was preventing government employees from discharging their duties.
The petitioner prayed the court to investigate the statements given by Rana Sana Ullah and award punishment to him.
