LAHORE: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has summoned counsels for the accused persons on next hearing in May 9 cases for cross examining the witness about his statement. The police man who was present on the occasion of siege and arson recorded his statement against Hammad Azhar , Mian Mehmood ur Rashid and others. Police man who was present on the occasion in the case related to torching container near Kalima Chowk too recorded his statement. As per witness statement about 150 to 200 people gathered in Kalima Chowk under the leadership of Hammad Azhar , Mian Mehmood ur Rashid and Aslam Iqbal on the night of May 11. He reached the occasion with other policemen after the call ran on wireless. The witness said Hammad Azhar, Mehmood ur Rashid and Aslam Iqbal incited the workers. The workers set ablaze container and cabin of warden at Kalima chowk. The violent workers chanted anti state slogans as well. During the hearing of the case the witness further told the court police tried to stop the workers but they pelted stones on police. Before me 10 to 15 people hurled petrol bomb and set ablaze the container. Police arrested 10 people from there and they were investigated. 10 accused were identified during identification parade on October 24. The court summoned the counsels of the accused for cross examining the witness about his statement. Online
