PESHAWAR(PR):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education (E&SE), Muhammad Atif Khan formally inaugurated Interactive White Boards Installation Project in Government Shaheed Hasnain Sharif Higher Secondary School, Peshawar City, on Wednesday. Under this project, such Boards would be installed in 1100 government schools in the entire province.
The inaugural ceremony, beside others, was also attended by the Secretary E&SE, Dr. Shahzad Bangash, Special Secretary, Qaisar Alam, CEO AQOVIA Shah Shamil Alam, educationists, teachers and students in large number.
Speaking on the occasion, the Education Minister said that installation of Digital Interactive White Boards in government schools was a practical step towards improving quality of education of state- run schools, adding that it would not only prove equally helpful for teachers and students in teaching but also in standardization of teaching skills in the province.
He further said that spending on education really not spending but great investment on next generation for its future and the PTI led provincial government would not hesitate to invest on this very important sector.
Atif Khan maintained that such White Boards have not yet been installed in best educational institutions of the private sector adding that it reflects the interest of the provincial government toward education.
He said that the journey of improving quality of education would not stop but much more would be done for this noble cause and system would be improved gradually. He directed the authorities concerned to practically work for introducing new trends and technologies in education sector and digitalized maximum contents of books at the earliest for students in line with the needs of new era.
Earlier, the Minister formally inaugurated the project by cutting the tap and prayed for its success.
