Atif Khan orders strict monitoring of subsidized flour supply

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Food Atif Khan has directed the officials concerned to closely monitor supply of subsidized flour and display government subsidized banners at all selling points.
He warned that strict legal action would be taken against those involved in embezzlement in the process of supplying government subsidized flour to people across the province.
He made these remarks while presiding over a meeting on Monday regarding the supply of flour at government subsidized rates to people.
Secretary Food Department Mushtaq Ahmed and other senior officials attended the meeting.
Briefing the provincial minister in the meeting, the food secretary said that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was committed to supply subsidized flour to registered flour dealers in all the districts of the province.
Atif Khan and other members of the meeting said that a green bag has been introduced for clear identification of flour at government subsidized rates.
The Provincial Minister Atif Khan directed the food department officials to closely monitor the supply of subsidized flour and banners of government subsidized rates.
“Despite limited resources, the provincial government is trying its best to provide relief to the people and the provision of justice food cards to the people and the provision of flour at discounted rates is also a link in this regard”, he added.
