Australia’s leg-spinner Adam Zampa on Tuesday tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the T20 World Cup game against Sri Lanka.
According to details, Zampa recently returned a positive test but only displayed minor symptoms. His participation is in considerable doubt for Tuesday evening’s match at Perth Stadium, but he remains available for selection.
However, as per ICC’s playing conditions, players who test positive for the virus are not prevented from competing at this year’s World Cup.
Defending champions Australia are looking to bounce back against Sri Lanka from their opening loss to New Zealand in a tough Group 1 which also includes England.
