Highlighting Pakistan’s substantial automotive market potential, he emphasized the urgent need for local manufacturing infrastructure to cater to the demands of the burgeoning consumer base.
Dr. Rashid Ilyas Khan advocated for the establishment of more manufacturing plants within Pakistan, stressing the importance of fostering competition through the issuance of NOCs to new market entrants. He underscored the transformative impact of expanding manufacturing capabilities beyond mere assembly units, citing the potential to drive down vehicle prices, create employment opportunities, and enhance export prospects.
