PESHAWAR
Under the auspices of District Administration and District Sports Office Charsadda, the Azadi Sports Festival concluded at Abdul Wali Khan Sports Complex Charsadda on Saturday wherein more than 430 players took part in 12 different Games including table tennis, badminton, cricket, football, athletics, cycling, marathon and cross-country races.
The final matches of Badminton and Table Tennis women team events were held, with Additional Deputy Commissioner Fazila Jahan along with District Sports Officer Tahseenullah and other personalities witnessed the matches and later on distributed trophies, medals and cash prizes.
The final of the badminton team event was played between Charsada Red and Charsadda Blue, in which in the first match, Nada of Charsadda Red defeated Andalib of Charsadda Blue by 2-0. In the second match, Munahil and Iqra defeated Fatima and Saba Gul by 2-1. Similarly, in the last match, Madiha of Charsadda Red defeated JannatUl Mawa of Charsadda Blue by 2-1.
Similarly, in the table tennis team event final, Charsadda Green won the honor by defeating Charsadda White by 3-1. At the end, the special guests including Additional Deputy Commissioner Charsadda Fazila Jahan, District Sports Officer Tahseen Ullah gave away prizes to the position holders players.
