Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam has crossed an important milestone by playing the 50th Test match of his career against Australia in the opening Test starting today.
Newly appointed Test captain Shan Masood honored Babar on the occasion by presenting him with his 50th Test cap and a souvenir.
The former captain became the 32nd Pakistani player to achieve the feat, underscoring his important role in the team’s legacy. The 29-year-old right-handed batsman has scored a total of 3772 runs at an impressive average of 47.47. This impressive performance consists of 26 half-centuries and nine centuries, with the highest individual score being 196 runs against Australia in the Karachi Test last year.
