LAHORE: Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman assailed on Sunday the political opponents, saying that they had previously criticised the laptop scheme in order to “score the political points”. Addressing an event, Baligh emphasised the value of the country’s youth, saying, “The youth is an asset of the country. The notion of a digital divide is no longer relevant due to the laptop scheme”. He praised PM Shehbaz Sharif, saying, “The premier has served the country under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.”
Baligh schooled the political opponents, saying, “They have resorted to deceptive tactics in recent years. But we will not have to believe in rumours”. — DNA
