Barkers Association demands to remove ban on import of bakery items

Office bearers of All Barkers Association Mardan division on Wednesday demanded the government to remove ban on the import of items used in bakery items. “this decision of the government will put the bakery business on the edge of destruction”, they added.
These views were expressed by Ghulam Habib Salarzai divisional president, Sarzamin Khan Deputy general secretary, Hussain Khan Takhatbhai president, General secretary Farmanullah, Hayat Khan Kashmiri tehsil Rustam president and general secretary Aminullah and other office bearers while talking to the media.
Office bearers said that the business community affiliated with bakery business is already affected by Covid-19, Sui gas and electricity loadsheeding while on the other side the government has banned the import of items used in bakeries. They added that these imported items are essential for making bakery items.
They argued that due to non-import of these items, papering many items of the bakery became difficult or even impossible. They added that the government has also decided to close the shop in the evening. They added that this decision of the government will more affect the bakery business.
They argued that during the day they prepared bakery items while in the evening they sold these items.
They argued that if they closed the bakeries shop in the evening it would finish the bakery business. The office bearers demanded the government to immediately remove the ban on import of items used in bakeries. They also demanded the government to give exemption to bakeries from closing in the evening.
