Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Saif, said on Tuesday that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched an intensive school admission campaign in line with the vision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, with the aim of enrolling one million out-of-school children across the province.
Addressing a press briefing, Dr. Saif stated that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was personally overseeing the campaign and has directed the Education Department to ensure that no child is left behind. “The Chief Minister has instructed the use of all available resources to make the campaign successful,” he said.
To support this initiative, the government has decided to distribute free school bags and stationery to newly enrolled students. Additionally, Dr. Saif announced that an “Education Card” project will be launched soon to further facilitate access to education for underprivileged families.
The Information Adviser emphasized that the success of the campaign depends on collective community efforts. He noted that teachers, parents, local elders, influential personalities, elected representatives, young volunteers, and religious scholars are all being actively engaged in the campaign.
“Parents must recognize their responsibility and fulfill their national duty by ensuring their children attend school. Today’s children are the architects of tomorrow,” Dr. Saif remarked.
He reiterated that promoting education remains a top priority of the current government, as sustainable development is not possible without a well-educated population. “Children are our future, and the government is committed to equipping them with the tools they need to succeed,” he added.
