Barrister Saif visits drug rehabilitation centre Faqirabad

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif on Friday visited Faqirabad Rehabilitation Center for Drug Addicts and inspected facilities being given to drug addicted persons.
Speaking to media persons, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has decided to make Peshawar free from drug addicted persons, adding that all resources would be utilized to drug rehabilitation centers working for drug addicted people rehabilitations.
During the visit, the Special Assistant said that 120 drug addicts have been admitted in the rehabilitation center of the Social Welfare Department. At the time of admission, these patients were fully screened and vaccinated, while those suffering from various diseases are being treated separately.
He said that after detoxification, drug addicts are given psychological, physical and religious training.
All facilities have been provided for the rehabilitation of drug addicts, he added.
Mr Saif said that rehabilitation centers in other districts besides Peshawar would functional in the near future and all required facilities in these centers would be made available.
