To recognize the efforts of teachers and to pay homage to them, the best teacher ceremony was organized here in Shaheed Abdul Azam high secondary school,Jamrud last day.
The activity was initiated by the district teacher association and Tanzeeme Asteza,Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) former chief Khairullah Hawari was the chief guest on the occasion.
Provincial President Tanzeems Asteza Dr Nasir, SOA,Khyber President and Principal Shah Jehan Afridi,General Sectary of the Association Muhammad Usman,large numbers of teachers and members of civil society participated in the moot.
Principles, headteachers and teachers of 18 government schools from each subdivision (Landi Kotal,Bara and Jamrud) were awarded for their best performance.
Addressing on the occasion the chief guest Kharullah Hawari said that teachers were the builders of the nation, however they sustain their respect in society only when they would execute their duties with honesty and dedication.
We will equip ourselves with modern techniques of teaching to make our pupils useful citizens of the country, he opined.
He also urged the government to accept legal demands of the teacher’s community so that they could impart knowledge without anxiety and personal grievances.
Tanzeeme Asateza was the oldest association that ever worked to safeguard rights and interests of teachers across the province, he remarked.
Cash prizes were granted to the children who presented Naat and national songs while shields were given to Shah Jehan, Zafar Ali, Abdul Jabbar, Muhammad Ismael and Hukam Khan.
