In press briefing with Ukrainian counterpart, Bilawal says Pakistan is strictly adhering to policy of non-partisanship
ISLAMABAD
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said we will support all peaceful steps to solve dispute between Russia and Ukraine.
Ukraine dispute created food, fuel and other crises, Bilawal add.
He said Pakistan also affected by this dispute and we are not providing any kind of arms to Ukraine. These kind of news are fake and misleading.
FM said we want to strengthen our bilateral relations.
Foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto expressed these view in joint press briefing after meeting with Ukrainian Foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba who is on visit to Islamabad.
Both Foreign ministers discussed various regional and international topics of bilateral interest.
Consensus was built on enhancing economic, trade, agriculture, defence and other relations during the meeting.
Ukraine situation was also discussed in meeting and both top diplomats expressed deep concerns over Ukraine situation.
In news conference Bilawal Bhutto said we welcome Ukrainian foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba.
He expressed best wishes for the peace, stability, development and prosperity of the people of Ukraine.
Bilawal said we want to strengthen bilateral relations and people to people contact.
He said Pakistan was buying wheat from Ukraine and we faced problems after war erupted. Black sea green is important step and we welcome it.
FM Bilawal said he will talk to Turkiye, United Nations secretary general and Russia for the restoration of Black sea green step.
On this occasion Ukrainian FM Dmytro Kuleba said we will always cooperate to strengthen Pakistan armed forces and provision of wheat to Pakistan.
Pakistan is friend and friends help each other in time of need, he added.
He said Pakistan and Ukraine and viewing future, war has not stopped the life cycle and we will cooperate in education sector. Those students who were studying in Ukraine will be called back to Ukraine to complete their due courses.
Ukrainian FM Dmytro Kuleba said we will expand digital and economic cooperation, Pakistan is an important partner.
He said both countries will work on food security.
Ukrainian top diplomat said Pakistan, Turkiye and UN are cooperating in black sea green and Russia devastated hoarded grains in Ukraine. Russia’s this step caused food insecurity in various countries
He said restoring black sea green will be cooperation to Ukrainian farmers and common people in world. Ukrainian FM also reminded the assistance they offered to Pakistan to built Al Khalid tank during 90s. We want Pakistan to support Ukrain, added Ukrainian FM. He said we want Pakistan in forums which are cooperating Ukraine against Russian aggression.
