Bitcoin dips below $35,000 mark as cryptos turn bearish

ISLAMABAD: The cryptocurrency market turned bearish on Friday, with the market capitalization losing 2.6 percent to reach $1.32 trillion. As of 1235 hours GMT, Bitcoin (BTC), the world’s oldest and most valued cryptocurrency, dipped below the $35,000 mark. BTC shed 3 percent in the last 24 hours to reach $34,270. Bitcoin has been 0.7 percent up in the past seven days.
Ether (ETH), the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, lost 2.4 percent to reach $1,791. With this decrease in price, the market capitalization of ETH has reached $215.5 billion. ETH has been 0.4 percent up in the past seven days.
Similarly, Binance Coin (BNB) price went down by 1.5 percent to reach $227. The market capitalization of BNB has reached $35 billion with this decrease. BNB has gained 0.2 percent of its value during the last seven days.
Following suit, the price of Ripple (XRP) dipped 2.4 percent to reach $0.603. The market capitalization of XRP stands at $32.3 billion with this decrease. XRP has gained 9.8 percent of its value during the last seven days.
On the other hand, Solana (SOL) price dipped 10.9 percent to reach $39.33. With this decrease in price, its market capitalization has reached $16.4 billion. SOL has gained 20.6 percent of its value during the last seven days. SOL, which was the biggest gainer on Thursday, went on to become the biggest loser on Friday.
Other popular altcoins including Dogecoin (DOGE), Cardano (ADA) and Litecoin (LTC) landed in the red across the board. PancakeSwap (CAKE) became the biggest gainer with a 24-hour jump of over 9 percent.
