Bitcoin inches down to $29,329 as market slides

The cryptocurrency market edged lower on Tuesday, with the market cap losing 0.01 percent to reach $1.22 trillion. As of 1310 hours GMT, Bitcoin, the world’s oldest and most valued cryptocurrency, shed 0.04 percent in the last 24 hours to reach $29,329. The market capitalization of the biggest crypto has reached $570.7 billion with this decrease. Bitcoin has been 0.5 percent down in the past seven days. Bitcoin managed to remain above the $29,000 mark. The price of Bitcoin has stayed lower even though the US CPI rose by 0.2 percent in July. The price of BTC has been range-bound after reaching its highest point of the year at $31,800 on July 13. It touched a low of $28,585 on August 1. Similarly, Ether (ETH), the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, inched down by 0.3 percent to reach $1,840. With this decrease in price, the market capitalization of ETH has reached $221.1 billion.
