Bitcoin surges to $28,378 in mixed trade

The cryptocurrency market remained positive for the second straight day on Tuesday, with the market capitalization surging by 0.9 percent to reach $1.13 trillion.
As of 1250 hours GMT, Bitcoin, the world’s oldest and most valued cryptocurrency, surged by 2 percent in the last 24 hours to reach $28,378. The market capitalization of the biggest crypto has reached $553.8 billion with this increase. Bitcoin has been 3 percent up in the past seven days.
The crypto market witnessed unexpected movement on Monday after a rumor circulated in the digital world that the SEC had approved Blackrock’s Bitcoin ETF. The Bitcoin process jumped by almost 10 percent touching the $30,000 mark.
The rally was quickly restricted after Blackrock denied any such approval from the SEC and BTC slipped back to the $28,000 level. The market saw liquidations worth $85 million in the past 24 hours while BTC (+4.3%) saw a 70-day high in price.
However, Ether (ETH), the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, shed 0.4 percent to reach $1,581. With this decrease in price, the market capitalization of ETH has reached $190 billion. ETH has been 0.1 percent down in the past seven days.
Following suit, Binance Coin (BNB) price decreased by 0.5 percent to reach $212. The market capitalization of BNB has reached $32.6 billion with this decrease. BNB has gained 2.4 percent of its value during the last seven days.
Similarly, the price of Ripple (XRP) fell 0.8 percent to reach $0.491. The market capitalization of XRP stands at $26.2 billion with this decrease. XRP has shed 1.1 percent of its value during the last seven days.
On the other hand, Solana (SOL) price increased by 2.9 percent to reach $24. With this increase in price, its market capitalization has reached $10 billion. SOL has gained 8.3 percent of its value during the last seven days.
Other popular altcoins including Dogecoin (DOGE), Cardano (ADA), and Litecoin (LTC) landed in the positive as overall prices saw minor gains across the board. Bitcoin SV (BSV) emerged to be the biggest gainer, seeing a 24-hour jump of over 11.06 per cent. Loom Network (LOOM), on the other hand, turned out to be the biggest loser.
