BNP Centers to be opened in every district of Balochistan: Shazia

Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety and Chairperson BISP Shazia Marri on Friday said that the government is committed to provide social protection to the women of Balochistan by making them economically strong so that they can play their role in the development of Pakistan.

She expressed these views during a function held in collaboration with the non government organization Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) to distribute interest free loan cheques among the women from different parts of Balochistan here at the local hotel of Quetta.

Members of the National Assembly Rubina Irfan, former MPAs including Rahila Hameed Durrani, Ghazala Gola, former Senator Roshan Khurshid Barocha and leaders of the political parties also attended the ceremony.

While addressing the event, the federal minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety said that “Benazir Nashonuma Program Centers” will be opened in every district of Balochistan from next month. As many as 25 vehicles will be given to the BISP to outreach the needy women in all districts of Balochistan.

“O.2 million children are benefiting from Benazir’s education program; she said, reiterating the government resolves that Balochistan will be given top priority in the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Security plans.

Sharing further details about the Benazir Income Support Program, she noted that BISP is the largest social security program in Asia which has benefited 80,000 families.

“Efforts are being made to make Balochistan socially strong so that their sense of deprivation is removed,” she said, urging that the people of Balochistan should have the right to their resources.

She said that the way in which work is being done at the community level with the people of Balochistan is commendable. Strong and thriving Balochistan will guarantee strong Pakistan. Federal Minister further said that the Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan, therefore, it must be given due attention

Shazia Murree noted that along with giving a sizable amount for education of the children, in addition stipends are also being given to boys and girls. I have come to Balochistan not merely to make announcements but initiate practical work
