BRT opens express route, special routes for public

The Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) authority has said that three direct routes of Hayatabad to be made operational on 25th October (Today) to make the service more accessible in the provincial capital.
With fire incidents in the buses while passengers on board the authority had suspended the BRT bus service in Peshawar for almost one month to undertake certain necessary technical works. The service, however, resumed on 24th October. The Trans-Peshawar commenced operation of the buses on two more side routes of the project after the resumption of its service including an express route and special route.
The express route, as per the authority, will cover the area of 11 stations of BRT and the special route will cover the area from Mall of Hayatabad to Khyber Bazar.
The spokesperson Trans-Peshawar Umair Khan said that the 3 direct routes of Hayatabad will be made operational on the 25th of October, 2020. He said that the provincial government has installed the world’s best transportation system in the shape of BRT to make the public transport system of provincial capital modernize and accessible.
Umar said that the BRT was the best transport system of international standard and was sufficient to fulfill the public transport requirement in the provincial capital. “It is the department’s top priority to give the best, reliable, and safe transport service to its commuters.” He added.
Umair stressed upon the commuters to follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as a preventive measure against Covid-19. He directed the public to follow all SOP`s shared by the organization which are in the best interest of the citizens. He said, “BRT Buses will reach every station within the duration 2-4 minute so that passengers can easily wait for the next bus in case of rush.”
