BEIJING
26 people died and many others were injured after a fire broke out in a building in Shaanxi Province, China
Injured have been transferred to the hospital.
China’s state media said that at 6:50 a.m. on Thursday, a fire broke out on the fourth floor of a building connected to the coal company Yongju in Leshi District of Perluliang City.
Rescue teams have moved dozens of people to safety while 63 people have been taken to hospital, 26 people have died in the fire so far.
According to local media, a rescue operation is underway in the area and an investigation is underway to find out the cause of the fire.
29 people lost their lives in a fire incident in April this year in Beijing.
