Business community mourns the demise of Haroon Agar

KARACHI: FPCCI Chief, Mr. Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, has expressed his profound condolences on the sad demise of one of the most the popular business, trade and industry leaders of Pakistan, Late Haroon Agar. He added that Haroon Agar led an accomplished and momentous life; both as a businessman and as a trade leader. Mian Anjum Nisar, former President of FPCCI, showered glowing tributes on the achievements of Haroon Agar and mentioned that Haroon Agar had been a mentor figure to the many of the leading business and trade figures today through thick and thin; and, that made Haroon Agar one of the most admired and sought-after business leaders. Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo, immediate past President of FPCCI, mentioned that Haroon Agar fought for the cause of SMEs in Pakistan with courage, perseverance and a sense of ownership.
Highlight of his many leadership roles was his tenure as the President of Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) in 2012-13, he added.
It is pertinent to note that, due to his polite, friendly and socially-conscious nature, Late Haroon Agar was immensely popular among press & media fraternity as well; and, his views and statements were widely sought on fiscal, taxation, trade, socioeconomic and SMEs related issues. =DNA
