Businessmen Panel condoles death of SM Munir


The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s Businessmen Panel (BMP) on Tuesday expressed profound grief and sorrow over sad demise of UBG Chairman and veteran trade and industry leader S. M Munir who has passed away the other day. In a condolence message, the FPCCI former president and BMP Chairman Mian Anjum Nisar said that demise of S.M Munir was a big blow and irreparable loss. He said that the late S.M Munir rendered matchless services for the cause of business community. He said that the entire business community was in a state of shock due to the sudden demise of TDAP former Chief Executive and ex minister, whose services for the cause of business community are matchless.

Anjum Nisar said that SM Munir was a great man and his services for the cause of the business community would always be remembered. Being chief of TDAP he rendered matchless services for the trade and industry. He said that the demise of SM Munir was an irreparable loss. He termed his death a big loss for the Pakistani business community. He was a fearless man who did not shy away from expressing his views in front of policymakers, he recalled. He was a nationalist who used to tell people not to discuss personal issues and instead talk about national issues.

BMP Chairman said he was extremely sad to hear death of SM Munir. He was a very patriotic businessman, who contributed immensely to the development of Pakistan, he added. He said that the late SM Munir was a respected businessman and active figure in the trade and industry.

He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
