Cabinet proposes joint in-camera meeting of NSC, Parliament

The federal cabinet has passed a resolution condemning terrorism and the Peshawar blast on Wednesday.
A joint in-camera meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) and the Parliament proposed by the cabinet members on prevailing security situation of the country.
A resolution condemning Imran Khan’s statement regarding Asif Zardari was also passed by the cabinet.
The Peshawar blast was strongly condemned in the federal cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, preliminary report of the Peshawar blast was also reviewed in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the menace of terrorism is resurfacing.
He inquired who brought these terrorists back to Pakistan ?
Who said that they are Jihadists and friends of Pakistan?
Who said that these people have surrendered their arms and will contribute to the development of the country?
The Prime Minister vowed to eradicate terrorism through collective efforts and said that terrorism will spread in Pakistan if appropriate measures are not taken immediately.
According to sources, the Federal Cabinet condemned the Police Lines Peshawar blast.
In the Cabinet, Fatiha was recited and prayers for forgiveness were offered for the Martyrs of Police Lines.
The cabinet members said that the sacrifices of the martyrs will not go in vain. We will chase the terrorists with full force. According to the sources, the cabinet members insisted on decisive action to crush the terrorists.
In the cabinet meeting, various options were considered to deal with terrorism. The cabinet members proposed to convene an in-camera meeting of the National Security Committee and Parliament.
According to sources, a resolution condemning the Peshawar blast and terrorism was approved in the cabinet meeting. The Cabinet condemned Imran Khan’s allegation of conspiracy to assassinate Asif Zardari and passed a resolution condemning Imran Khan’s statement.
