CHITRAL: President of Non-Political organization Chitral Action Forum and well-known social activist Razituballah in a newspaper statement thanked Corps Commander Peshawar for taking him into confidence regarding the visit to Chitral and the events of September 6. He said that the Corps Commander Peshawar during his speech about making Chitral district a separate division, the people of Chitral welcomed him from the bottom of their heart. The different culture, regional situation, different language and being the second largest district of Pakistan geographically, there is talk of separating Chitral district from Malakand division and creating its own separate division. He said, forming a separate division, it will speed up development work. APP
Unfortunately, he said, due to lack of proper representation, Chitral district has lagged far behind from other districts in various development works. “Time is needed to start implementing the statement of making Chitral as a separate division,” he said. It should be done so that the people of Chitrali can be removed from the sense of deprivation, he added.
“As far as the attacks of the Tehreek-e-Taliban are concerned on September 6, we as Chitrali people fully condemn them and stand side by side with the Pakistan Army,” he added.
