At the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Anita Anand, will undertake an official visit to Pakistan on July 20.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit will be Minister Anand’s first to Pakistan since assuming office.
During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Foreign Minister Anita Anand will hold bilateral talks covering the entire spectrum of Pakistan-Canada relations. The discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation in trade and investment, education, and people-to-people exchanges. The two sides will also exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.
Minister Anand will also call on Pakistan’s leadership during her stay.
Pakistan and Canada enjoy cordial bilateral relations anchored in close people-to-people ties, further strengthened by the vibrant Pakistani diaspora in Canada. The visit reflects the shared commitment of both countries to further expand bilateral cooperation across diverse sectors.
