ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police intensified crackdown against drug peddlers and arrested 15 criminals including one illegal weapon handler from different areas of the city, a police spokesman said. He said that police teams also recovered 3200 gram heroin, 3995 gram hashish, 500 gram opium and 100 gram and weapons with ammunition from their possession. Following the directives of IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, spokesperson said that Islamabad police accelerated crackdown against criminal elements in order to reduce crime rate in the federal capital. In this regard special police teams of different police stations were formed to take stern action against those involved in anti social activities. DNA
