Car lifting gang busted, four held

Police claim to have busted a car snatching and lifting gang and arrested its four alleged members.
According to SP Cantt Division, police have recovered nine valuable vehicles from the arrested persons.
He said that the arrested members of the car lifting gang were involved in stealing and snatching vehicles and used to tamper and change the engine chassis with the help of mechanics.
The arrested persons have been identified as Obaid, Shehzad, Niaz and Kamran.
Police said that the gang was involved in furnishing fake documents and selling the lifting cars at exorbitant prices.
Initially, nine valuable vehicles have also been recovered from the possession of the arrested persons and police said that more important revelations are expected during the investigation.
The operation against the gang was conducted by SHO Hayatabad police station Fawad Khan and other investigating officers were referred to the task of arresting other involved gangs.
In order to arrest the involved suspects, the special team obtained the CCT footage on various streets of Hayatabad, while investigating several criminals and suspects and recorded their statements.
After tracking down the organized gang involved, four suspects of the gang were arrested.
The accused have revealed that after stealing vehicles from Hayatabad and different areas including the famous commercial centers of the city, they sold them at high prices.
