Newly appointed Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Syed Ashfaq Anwar on Sunday held an introductory meeting with police officers.
On this occasion SSP Operations Haroon Al Rasheed Khan, DPO District Khyber Salim Abbas Kalachi, SSP Investigation Shahzadah Kokab Farooq, Commandant Campus Noor Jamal Khan, Chief Traffic Officer Qamar Hayat Khan, all divisional SPs, SDPOs and SHOs including investigation police officers attended the meeting,said a handout.
During the meeting, CCPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar clarified that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially Peshawar police is the police of martyrs and veterans who have played the role of the front line in all kinds of adverse situations including the war against terrorism.
Police force of the province played an important role in establishing peace by sacrificing their lives in line of duties, CCPO said and added that there will be no compromise on the dignity of the force and the people protection.
Security and cleanliness arrangements of sensitive buildings and safety measures during duty should also ensure the use of helmets and jackets, ensure timely completion of registers in all police stations.
On this occasion, CCPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar said that a new strategy is being prepared to protect the life and property of the people, prevent street crimes and maintain law and order situation in the city.
All available resources will be utilized for peace by working, the CCPO clarified to ensure registration of FIRs and clean the society from anti-social elements thanks to supremacy of merit and transparent investigation system.
However, the appointment of police personnel will be made conditional on their best performance.
CCPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar directed to improve relations with the public, media, scholars, businessmen, lawyers, administrators and dignitaries for the establishment of law and order and a peaceful society.
Due to more activation of LC and DRC, hostilities, social evils and other problems can be solved, he directed to speed up the ongoing crackdown against land mafia and other people involved in illegal activities.
He also directed the police officers to lay down strategies against street crimes and criminals and ensure their arrest.
