Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said on Saturday that the befitting reply given by Pakistan’s armed forces to the TTP had once again made the nation feel proud.
He was speaking to Senator Sardar Ahmad Khan Laghari and MPA Sardar Mansoor Laghari, who called on him at his residence in Lahore to inquire after him.
Shujaat said that the nation saluted the armed forces for their successful action against the militants hiding in Afghanistan. “It is no secret that our forces have always foiled the nefarious designs of the country’s enemies,” he said, and vowed to foil each and every conspiracy of the country’s enemies through unity.
The PML-Q president said that the forces were always on their toes to defend the country’s frontiers. “The entire nation stands by its forces and will continue to do so in future as well. Pakistan is our country. And together, we have to make it a peaceful, secure and financially stronger country.”
The country’s overall security and political situation came under discussion at the meeting. Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, on the occasion, informed the visitors about the steps taken to attract investors to Punjab. He also told the visitors about the reforms introduced in the Auqaf and industry departments.
