Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said charter of economy is the only way for our political parties to go ahead.
“In the prevailing situation it was next to impossible to give balanced budget. Relief has been provided by increasing the salaries, pension of government employees and fixing the minimum wages of Rs 32000 per month for laborers.
He said in a statement on website “ making budget in the present situation was a difficult job. The political instability created by Imran Khan led to devastation of economy. This budget is beginning of resolution of long standing problems of national economy.
He went on to say coalition government has preferred to such sectors which will lead us to self-reliance.
He observed that government has provided relief to government employees and pensioners in the shape of increase of 35 percent and 17.5 percent respectively. Government has increased minimum wages to Rs 32000 per month. It was impossible to give more balanced budget in this situation.
He held economy needs reforms which can be carried out in a stable political environment. Economic development is linked to political stability internally.
