LAHORE: Expressed his grave concerns over sale of chicken at exuberated prices, Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Main Aslam Iqbal has said that no mafia will be allowed to exploit people in the province. The minister expressed these views during a meeting with representatives of poultry association here on Sunday. He said that the association did not fulfill its commitment which is regrettable. He said, “We will protect the interest of common man at any cost and mafias will not be allowed to exploit the people.” He added that no compromise will be made in this regard. The meeting decided to make a mechanism which will safeguard interest of consumers. Problems being faced by poultry association were also discussed during the meeting. The chairman association said that poultry industry is facing crisis situation as its cost of production has increased. TLTP
