Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr Shahzad Bangash called on Governor KP Haji Ghulam Ali at Governor House on Wednesday and discussed the overall administrative affairs of the province.
In the meeting, the performance of government institutions in providing public services and the situation of good governance were discussed in detail.
Peshawar Mayor Haji Zubair Ali was also present on this occasion.
Discussion about increasing the efficiency of the local government system across the province in accordance with the expectations of the people came also under discussion.
Governor KP Haji Gulam Ali emphasized the need to create a comprehensive strategy to maintain communication, adding that to strengthen the local government system, it is necessary to provide all the facilities and resources required by the local government representatives up to the village, tehsil and union council levels.
He said that the overall performance of Water and Sanitation Services (WSSP) in Peshawar city is not satisfactory, and to improve it, it can be considered to return these services to TMA.
The governor said that it is important to strengthen all the provincial institutions throughout the province, especially in the merged tribal districts, so that they can ensure the best service delivery to the people.
